HYERES 2020: 35 years of fashion

September 27, 2020

The 35th International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Fashion Accessories of Hyères will be held from October 15th to October 18th at the Villa Noailles. The exhibitions will be open to the public until November 29th 2020.  Since 1986, the Festival founded by Jean-Pierre Blanc, promotes and supports international emerging fashion designers. Since 1997, a photography competition selects talented young photographers and this year, for the fourth time, a contest recognizes fashion accessories designers. The Festival is known as the oldest competition in the world for young professionals.

Presided by Jonathan Anderson, one of the most influential designers of his generation, the fashion contest presents 10 finalists:

Several awards reward the designers thanks to the endowments of the partners of the festival who engage with it to support them on the long run. Partner of the Festival since 2011, Première Vision is joining the Jury Grand Prix for the 8th consecutive year by supporting the finalists in the development and production of their collection. The winner will also have the possibility of a collaborative project with the Métiers d’Art de CHANEL. As part of the Chloé Award, the finalists will create in addition to the 7 silhouettes of their collection, a silhouette faithful to the Chloé heritage; the know-how of luxury ready-to-wear associated with a feminine allure, naturally elegant and spontaneous, aimed at women of today. The 19M CHANEL Crafts Prize will reward the best collaboration between the ten finalists and ten of the CHANEL Crafts. This year again, new partners are supporting this young generation by engaging with them and the art center.
Christoph Rumpf, Grand Prize of the Première Vision 2019 jury, will also present his collection.
